Knotting Between BeadsInstructor: Pam Crouse
A string of pearls on silk cord, with knots between the beads is a classic accessory. Knotting can be a relaxing project. A variety of adaptations can be made to create different “looks” as well. This class will cover the basics in planning and completing a knotted choker-length necklace.

Learn the basics of the Byzantine link and create a bracelet using sterling silver jumprings. Vintaj natural brass rings can also be used, adding warmth and texture to a basic chainmail link This link is a “must learn” as you can go on to design many different pieces of jewelry.

Do you collect interesting “found objects” but haven’t “found” out how to incorporate them in your work? Bring your thinking caps and basic wire skills and discover how to “cage” your beloved stone or object, and to creatively add wire and bead adornment to make your one-of-a-kind treasure! Join us in our newest chainmaille, the 4-in-1 European weave. You will learn or improve your skill in working with jumprings while exploring the world of medieval chainmaile. This link was popular in Europe and the Middle East during the middle ages. We will be making a bracelet in your choice of Vintaj brass or sterling jumprings.

Loopy BraceletInstructor: Gail Piper
Learn several basics in this oldie-but-goodie class that is offered regularly at the Bead Bin. You will create a base bracelet in flat herringbone and then enhance it with lots of loops. Your choice of beads and length of loops makes it either elegant or fun and frivolous.

Peyote Stitch WorkshopInstructor: Gail Piper
Various forms of the classic peyote (aka gourd) stitch will be covered. Make some swatches for practice then apply your new skills to make a peyote stitch beaded bead. These ‘bitty beads’ can later be used in your stringing and/or wire work projects.

Viking Knit BraceletInstructor: Meredith Heibel
Impress your friends with this fascinating ancient wireworking technique. Viking knitting is a looping technique that precedes traditional knitting by centuries. Many of these chains were found buried in tombs of some of the most famous and powerful Vikings. Use wire to “knit” together a fantastic lightweight lacy bracelet that is sure to get lots of attention. It’s easier than it looks!
