Knot EarringsInstructor: Althea Burrier
These earrings are attractive and always get attention. The knots look great alone or with other beads. This class will feature wire coiling by hand, cutting, then putting the coils of wire together for the endless wire look. We will first make a pair using Artistic wire, then move into sterling silver. This is a great technique to make truly personalized items.

Kumihimo BraceletInstructor: Cathy Lawson
Kumihimo, a “gathering” (kumi) of threads (himo)” is an ancient art of Japanese braiding that uses a portable foam wheel. You will learn this technique and make a bracelet using embroidery floss and beads. The finished project looks complicated, but is easy and fun to do. A great portable project to take on trips – even on planes!

2-4 Chainmaille EarringsInstructor: Althea Burrier
These are two wonderful weaves to learn. Come, make two pairs of earrings, or one pair of earrings and one pendant. In this class we will be using sterling silver rings to make one pair of Shaggy Loops earrings and either a pair of earrings or one pendant in the Japanese Cross weave. These pieces are timeless and go with everything. You will make two items so think holiday gifts!

This is a really FUN off-loom stitch. A great non-intimidating way to LEARN bead weaving but also a very refreshing project for more experienced bead weavers. You will get a good start in class, but will need to finish at home. Not to worry though - no clasp attaching - it is strung on elastic!!

Impress your friends with this fascinating ancient wireworking technique. Viking knitting is a looping technique that precedes traditional knitting by centuries. Many of these chains were found buried in tombs of some of the most famous and powerful Vikings. Use wire to “knit” together a fantastic lightweight lacy bracelet that is sure to get lots of attention. It’s easier than it looks!
